What the Library can do for you and the community
and how we do it.
Circulation
Loan Periods and Limits:
- Two-week loan – Physical books, Books on CD, Music CDs, Games, Chromebook laptops
- One-week loan – DVDs
- Indefinite loan – Jigsaw puzzles and magazines may be borrowed without a library card but we ask that you return the items to us when you are done with them.
In most cases, patrons are limited to 20 items on their account at once. DVDs are limited to 5 per library card, per visit. If you need to check out more than 20 items at once, please contact the library and we may be able to extend your privileges to check out more items.
Renewals:
All physical items may be renewed upon request, unless another patron has placed a hold on them. Items may be renewed by visiting the library, calling the library at 315-662-3134, or via your online account at www.midyork.org. (Please note that electronic resources are non-renewable.)
If no one else has requested the item, physical materials will be automatically renewed up to 3 times.
Replacement costs:
The New Woodstock Free Library does not charge late fees. Patrons are encouraged to return library materials on time so that other people may have the opportunity to borrow them. In the event that an item is lost, the library does charge replacement fees, which vary depending on the item.
