The Colorful Critters of Eric Carle

This January, we welcome you to join us in the children’s room each Tuesday morning at 11:00 A.M. for our storytime sessions. Throughout the month of January, we will feature the characters of Eric Carle’s bright and joyful world!

With a special tie to our local area, Eric Carle was born in Syracuse, New York. He wrote and illustrated many classic children’s books including The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? Throughout his career, he created nearly one hundred books. Our storytime selections feature a magical mixture of his famous stories as well as some of his lesser-known gems that your little ones are certain to love!

Each storytime session runs for about one hour and includes an interactive read aloud; rhymes, poetry, or music; a physical movement break; a snack; and a craft or game. We welcome you to stick around after storytime to socialize, enjoy the children’s room, and even play on the library playground if you do not mind the chilly winter temperatures!

All ages are welcome at storytime. This program is perfect for toddlers and their caregivers.

We look forward to reading, playing, and imagining together!
