Youth Writing Contest at New Woodstock Free Library

The New Woodstock Free Library is sponsoring a “Library Love” Youth Writing Contest from now until Monday, June 10, 2024.

Winners will be announced, and prizes will be awarded, at the library’s Volunteer Appreciation Reception on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 11 a.m. at 2106 Main Street, New Woodstock. Refreshments will be provided.

Contestants are asked to submit up to 150 words on the topic “What the Library Means to Me.” Submissions may be (legibly) handwritten or typed and dropped off in person at the library or emailed to clantz@midyork.org. Children not able to write may dictate their submission, but submissions must be in the child’s own words.

A prize of $10 will be awarded to the best submission in each of the following age categories:

  • Under 5
  • 5-10
  • 11-18

Submissions will be displayed in the library on Saturday, June 15.
