Clara’s Choice for the Month of August

Tracking Tilly: The Little Red Truck Mysteries by Janice Thompson

The book:

The Hadley family ranch is struggling, so RaeLyn, along with her parents and brothers, decide to turn the barn into an antique store. The only thing missing to go with the marketing of the store is Grandpa’s old red truck, Tilly, that was sold several years ago. Now heading back to the auction block, Tilly would need a lot of work, but RaeLyn is sure it will be worth it. She’ll have to beat out other bidders—several locals and her old high school flame, Mason Fredericks. When Tilly goes missing just after the auction ends, RaeLyn finds herself in the role of amateur sleuth, hunting through clues thicker than a field of Texas bluebonnets. Will she find her beloved Tilly, or is the family’s new venture destined to fail?

Tracking Tilly is the first entry in a new cozy mystery series, The Little Red Truck Mysteries, from Barbour Publishing. It is written with Janice’s usual humor that I have enjoyed in all of the books that I have read by her. — Clara Lantz, General Manager
